Taiwan Rescue Party!

Yesterday, we went to Isis & Otis' house for an impromptu party with Animal Rescue Taiwan. My foster momma Judy came over with Popeye and Taiwan rescue community organizers. I played with Otis, ate raw meat (yum!), tossed toys, and followed Isis outside to watch for the wicked cats in the trees. Isis & Otis' parents (Jen & Robert) were perfect hosts-- they provided food and a wonderful, dog friendly environment. Here are some pictures they took of the event:

You can learn more about Isis, Popeye, myself, and other dogs from Taiwan by visiting these web sites:

P.S. Thanks, Jen, for the pictures! Crazy lady was a dufus with the camera last night...

United Airlines Evildom, Part 2

United sent the following letter to crazy lady:

Dear...(blah, blah, blah)

"Please know that we are fully committed to following all Federal regulations for providing safe transportation to animals entrusted to our care. Each year thousands of pets fly with us with great success. I know air travel can excite animals, and we expect our people to be gentle and provide necessary care. We realize you are more upset with the way in which your concerns were handled. As our guest you have a rightful expectation to be treated with courtesy and respect. As well we expect all our staff to be attentive to your needs and sensitive to your concerns as well as to provide you with helpful, professional service at all times. There is never any excuse for rude and unprofessional service and I apologize to you on behalf of United for any unprofessional service you encountered that day even more so for the unnecessary worry you experienced. We are concerned about the behavior you have described and will make sure your feedback is shared with our Airport Operations supervisors in San Francisco. Rest assured your concerns will be taken seriously and that those employees involved will be made aware of the way in which they handled things was perceived.

... (more blah, blah, blah, 10% coupon)

Crazy lady is still very angry with United Airlines. She filed an official report with the USDA, the regulatory agency who oversees animal travel with airlines. We'll see what happens, next...

Sunshiny Day

Crazy lady has resumed her writing schedule. I've resumed my chillin' schedule. Instead of a balcony in Cambridge, I spend my afternoons hangin' out on a deck, basking in the delightful California sun. Lovely.

United Airlines is EVIL

United Airlines lost me at San Francisco Airport. Crazy lady went ballistic, but I was okay. I'm glad crazy lady is my protector, though. She put the incompetent fools at United Airlines through hell- especially since they refused to look for me, for over an hour! They kept telling her, "it takes a while for a dog to be unloaded" and "we're too busy, right now." When they (finally!) found me at a strange loading dock, they then refused to help load me into the cart. Again, "too busy." Crazy lady has been on the phone all morning, reporting the incident to various agencies. She wrote an excellent letter. Heads will roll.

The most important thing? I'm okay:
And, I'm back in California:

Dog park mayhem

Crazy lady knows that this picture is blurry, but I was busy running. And running. And running. Can you see the smile on my face, while running? For over 45 minutes, I ran until it was time to chill out & rest.
The big black dog behind me is Victor. He is my protector at the park, and always barks at other dogs who are too aggressive towards me. Oh well. After 90 minutes at the park, it's time for my afternoon nap. I'm exhausted...

Early morning romp

Good morning, dog lovers! I was awake and anxious to go outside, but Crazy Lady was too busy dragging her feet. She preferred lustful dreams of men with Nutella. I don't ask-- some things are private, which I respect. What a wimp, though. It's 5 am, and I need to go out NOW.

After eating her hair (my new habit, yummy!), crazy lady groaned and gently pushed me away. When she (finally!) got up and dressed, we had an early morning romp in the park. The moon was bright, and the sun was just starting to rise...
I am going to miss Cambridge. Here's my morning beauty shot, before the requisite nap...

The horror! The horror!

I know, I know...we've been busy. This is my last week in Cambridge, so we've been visiting my friends for "play dates," and spending countless hours at the dog park. Plus, crazy lady has been busy reviewing the final copies of her upcoming books:

Scary, huh? A happy crazy lady is a happy dog, so I indulge her freakish nature. I promise to write about our last days in Cambridge later this week. Meanwhile, we're off to see P-Man at the dog park. Woo hoo!
